Vorsicht ist geboten, wenn der Stuhl blutig oder schleimig ist, bei Anzeichen von Dehydratation und bei älteren und immunsupprimierten Patienten. Die am schnellsten auftretende und gefährlichste Komplikation einer akuten Diarrhoe ist die Dehydratation. Gewisse Medikamente (Diuretika, ACE-Hemmer oder Sartane) können dieses Risiko zusätzlich erhöhen. Es ist wichtig, Patienten unter solchen Therapien entsprechend zu informieren. [1]</div>"
